Residents of David Wilson Homes’ De Lacy Fields development in Kingsmere Village, Chesterton have raised £250 with the help of the housebuilder for Oxford Children’s Hospital, Fund for Children charity.

Fund for Children provides the very latest medical equipment and facilities, for babies and toddlers through to teens within the Oxford Children’s Hospital.

Christine Barnes lives in De Lacy Fields and was at the forefront of raising the money. Christine said; “We held a ‘get to know your neighbours party’, with the help of David Wilson and had a raffle, with all proceeds going to the local Children’s Hospital. The party was a great success and with a donation from David Wilson too, we raised £250.”

Penny Hambridge, of Fund for Children said; “We are very grateful to David Wilson Homes for the support they have shown to Oxford Children’s Hospital, it is so appreciated. Charitable donations enable us to provide equipment and facilities beyond what the NHS alone can fund.”

Steve Barton, Senior Sales Manager for David Wilson Homes Mercia commented; “We were approached by residents who were keen for us to help them with raising a sum of money for the Fund for Children charity. We had no hesitation in helping in any way we could and to also donate something ourselves.”
