Thanks to a generous donation by Countryside Properties (Bicester) Limited, developer of Kingsmere, the new housing development in Bicester, Chesterton Football Team’s Under 13 team has a new away kit all ready for the new football season in September.
The new golden yellow kit proudly displays the Kingsmere logo accompanied by the Chesterton FC emblem.
Andrew Carrington, Director, Countryside Properties (Bicester) Ltd comments “We are thrilled to sponsor a local football team ahead of the forthcoming football season. We hope that our sponsorship will further enhance their performance as a team, as well as individuals, and wish them every success for the forthcoming season.”
Stewart Kernan, club manager of Chesterton Football Club’s U13 team comments: “On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank Kingsmere for kindly sponsoring our away kit. The management and all of the boys and their parents are really pleased with it. We have worn the kit twice in summer tournaments already and it has given us fantastic luck. We won them both bringing our total to winning 5 out of the 10 summer tournaments we have entered.”
Chesterton Football Club is run at under 13’s level. Club manager Stewart Kernan started managing the team when they were playing in the under 6’s. The team play their home games at the Bicester Sports Association, Chesterton, located opposite the golf course and they play in the Midlands Junior Premier League, the elite footballing league for children of that age in the Midlands.
Kingsmere is well on its way to establishing itself as a new village offering comfortable living with all of the amenities for modern life. New homes are being developed by leading housebuilders, Taylor Wimpey, Bellway, Bovis and David Wilson Homes ensuring a varied collection of homes designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers.
A wide variety of new facilities are also planned including new primary and secondary schools, a village centre with shops, community and health facilities, two major recreational areas with sporting facilities and a business park. A new hotel and family restaurant are already open at Kingsmere and the development is adjacent to the hugely popular Bicester Village shopping area.
